EPW - Henry Robottom (unlisted), patent going barrel English lever with regulator scale on dial, 53mm, 18K gold OF original snap-case bearing London hallmarks for 1883, casemaker's mark "W.S" in rectangular cameo for William Sexton of Coventry, SW-pin-set, WE-SSD, fully capped lever escapement, 19J, gilt mvt, s#35691. Gross weight of assembled watch 75.4 dwt (117.3 g). This is H M Robottom's patent #2913 filed in the year 1876.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, oil dry, needs OH, excellent mvt condition overall, faint oxide on regulator; dial hl below seconds; hands near mint; case shows very light wear, many MFS and scuffs, a band dent with other band dings, clear monogram detail; bow tight, crown is losing its foil shell, one quarter gone, another quarter peeling away; glass crystal with edge chips.
